What does this email checker actually verify?
It runs four checks: the address syntax, common domain typos such as gmial.com instead of gmail.com, whether the domain belongs to a disposable email service, and whether the domain publishes MX records in DNS. Together these catch the vast majority of addresses that would bounce.
Can it guarantee that a mailbox exists?
No. Only the receiving mail server knows for certain whether a specific mailbox exists, and most servers no longer answer that question to prevent abuse. This tool confirms the address is well formed and that its domain accepts mail, which is the strongest signal you can get without sending a message.
Is the email address I check stored anywhere?
No. The syntax, typo and disposable checks run entirely in your browser. The MX lookup sends only the domain part of the address to Google's public DNS resolver, never the full address, and we keep no logs.
Why do invalid addresses hurt my email campaigns?
